Today, my family celebrated my sister's birthday (actually tomorrow). My brother came home from New York, we got crabs, we ate the crabs, we sat out on the back porch. It was very enjoyable. Now, I am not very close with my family. We are probably an average amount of close. My siblings and I get along. My parents and I have issues but can rub along pretty well when we ignore them. In general, I enjoy spending time with my family when given the incentive of crab-eating. And so today was quite enjoyable. My grandfather and aunt came over as well. We discussed the ailments of various aging family members. And we ate a lot of crabs.
Every summer my family comes together for such crabs-on-the-backporch gatherings many times. It's one of my favorite summer activities. Mainly because I love eating Maryland Blue Crabs. It's sad that this will be the last time we are all together for months and the last crabfeast of the summer.
I feel like every post I talk about the end of summer or growing up or something sentimental. Well, today I ate crabs and they were yummy and that's about all I have to say.
